Made quietly, each morning, in the light of the Mother.

“The Sun” - oil on canvas
The Mother's Light
Suns, and circles of light - what I keep trying to see with my eyes closed.
Still Waters
Water, and the way it holds whatever stands above it.
Earth & Sky
Horizons and mist, where the land loosens into air.
The Living World
Leaves, blossom, undergrowth - the world when you kneel down to it.
The Daily Practice
Thick paint laid on with a knife. A little more each day, nothing hurried.
The Mother of PondicherryI never set out to be a painter. I only sit quietly each morning, and now and then a little colour comes of it.
The gatherings are much the same. I only make a little room, and the women who come fill it - on Mondays we sit together (Vinay), sometimes we paint postcards for the Pondicherry ashram (Arpan), and a few of us keep our elders company (Seva).
